Complete refurbishment of a one-bedroom flat located in the prestigious Crown Reach development on Grosvenor Road, SW1V.

This property is part of a prominent, award-winning riverside residential complex designed by architect Nicholas Lacey and completed in 1984. Situated directly on the banks of the River Thames, the building holds a distinguished place in London’s architectural landscape.

With Crown Estate as the landlord and freehold owner, undertaking alterations required strict adherence to their demanding freehold license, reflecting the importance of maintaining the building’s heritage and standards.

 

The project included a full range of services and a significant internal layout alteration, swapping the original bathroom location with the kitchen to optimise space and functionality.

This project beautifully integrates design functionality with intelligent detailing.

 

A key feature is the shadow gap skirting detail, expertly crafted to discreetly mask the AC intake flow, maintaining clean, uninterrupted lines throughout the space.

 

Behind the large wall mirror lies the internal AC unit, with the shadow gap detail at the base serving as the air intake, seamlessly combining aesthetics with practicality.

The walk-in wardrobe and flooring are finished entirely in rich walnut, adding warmth and sophistication to the interior.

 

The bespoke joinery is thoughtfully designed to maximise storage and functionality while complementing the space's refined style.
